JKA provides comprehensive strategy and advisory services to investment firms navigating critical inflection points. Launching a first institutional fund, expanding into commercial real estate, preparing for institutional allocators, or integrating impact frameworks into existing investment strategies.

Meet The Founder

JULIA STEVENSON began her career in finance as a commercial real estate portfolio manager in traditional banking. She then pivoted to private equity and fund formation working for a development start-up with private backing in an impact investment strategy targeting multifamily housing.

Opportunities later in her career included deployment of capital for an institutional fund manager specialized in social and economic impact.

Prior to forming J Kyle Alexander, she lead the acquisition and investment strategy activities for an emerging investment manager equipped with a nine-figure wa. commercial real estate development. From working with a local development company to a local government in Maryland, her exposure to planning and financial models led her to eventually pursue roles strictly in finance.

Sophisticated investors and private investment professionals were missing opportunities to partner due to communication and access. out of a desire to support sophisticated investors thatrooted in the core principles of its founder, Julia Stevenson. Discipline, preparation, precision, and performance under pressure are values instilled from her elite athletic training as an Olympic hopeful in track and field. That athletic discipline has been applied to her work in quantitative finance and private equity over her 20-year career.

Stevenson's career in finance began in commercial real estate development, which led to roles in local government and commercial real estate lending. Over the past decade, her focus has shifted to private equity and fund formation, with significant experience in impact investing.

Stevenson holds a B.A. from Brown University and an M.S. in Finance from Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family in Washington, D.C. and the Midwest, hiking mountains and volcanoes, and traveling internationally.
