Meet the Founder

Julia Stevenson is the founder of J Kyle Alexander, bringing nearly two decades of experience across commercial real estate development, local government, conventional finance, private equity, fund formation, and impact investing.

Her career has given her visibility across multiple sides of the investment process: how projects are formed, how capital decisions are evaluated, how risk is understood, and how strategy must hold up in execution.

That range informs the way J Kyle Alexander approaches every engagement. The work begins with disciplined analysis, but it does not end there. It also requires context, judgment, and a clear understanding of how decisions move from paper to practice.

Julia holds a B.A. in Urban Studies from Brown University and an M.S. in Finance from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.

I founded J Kyle Alexander for clients who need more than surface-level advice.

Across my career, I have worked around capital from several angles: development, public-sector strategy, banking, private equity, fund formation, and impact investing. Each role sharpened my understanding of how decisions are made, where risk can hide, and why disciplined analysis matters.

This practice is intentionally focused. I work with clients who value rigor, clarity, and thoughtful counsel. The goal is not to make noise. The goal is to help clients understand the decision in front of them and move with confidence.
